I wish I knew about this before Sunday as I left MEL then and will be back on Christmas Day. But then again public transport will be free on Christmas Day so I'll use that instead when I arrive...

Also found another offer for Bank issued Amex cards. Basically park between Thu-Tue (weekend) in the short term carpark and get it for Undercover longterm rates. It looks like you could actually use any card, as the deal requires you to input a code "AMEX" on the Melb Airport online booking site. Details are on Amex Connect site.
