Hoping someone on here can help me out. I need to find a driver who has a car capable of carrying myself and a snowboard bag. My hopes are that I can book a sedan that is able to fold down a seat or the middle seat opens up.. Dimensions are approx. 180cmX30cmX20cm..

Do the BMW 7series or the Mercedes equivalent have the ability to drop a rear seat? Or the Holden (not sure what model is commonly used?)

Otherwise it will be an extra expensive trip to the airport! :(

cheers gogo

not directly your question, but I personally had no problem fitting a snowboard into a E90 3 series BMW, so it should be a piece of cake for the 7 series. The middle seat hole seemed only to be designed for skis, at least my normal board appeared to be to wide to fit through. Had no problem with the left seat.

I've had my snowboard bag in the VHA Holden Caprice no problem. Just make sure you get one without a gas tank, then drop the centre seat and it fits through pretty east...

I put my boots, jacket, pants etc and sometimes two snowboards in my snowboard bag and it still fit.

My VH driver (i've used him for over 12 years) has a 4WD now as his main car. He says in part because of the luggage pax bring! I can give him your number if you like? A call isn't going to cost you anything and you can see if he is right for you

All the cars mentioned can do it, however some drivers do not like it! If they have a gas tank in the back that is a problem, but you are not going to find a BMW or Merc running on gas ;)

Failing that, and what I use, is a people mover. While it sounds like a bus, most of them are fitted out with captains chairs (individual chairs) and you have endless legroom, individual A/C and heating controls and a DVD player in the rear.

For a North Eastern suburbs to Airport trip in Melbourne I pay about $110 for this, a Holden costs me about $80

If you don't mind? Please PM me his number. What sort of 4WD does he have? As i will also need someone in July that can carry two passengers and two bike boxes..

Thanks in advance!

Cheers gogo
