Melbourne VA lounge?

VA have just opened a bunch of new destinations out of MEL. Is there lounge access yet for Gold Velocity members and/or business class passengers out of Melbourne? If not is it coming, how and when?

I believe VA uses the Malaysian lounge in Sydney so presumably it would be a similar arrangement at MEL.

I am tempted to fly MEL-LAX on VA next year and have emailed them to find out about lounge access.

For me lounge access is a big deciding point on who to fly with.

Will reply on here when I hear back from them

VA is using the MH lounge in MEL for our J class guests on LAX and JNB flights - I got that from the horse's mouth (Exec General Manager of VA) last night. However, arrangements for flights to HKT are not yet confirmed.

Only J Class or Velocity Gold as well (as per SYD, LAX)?

My reply to my question that I emailed though this week to VA

"Unfortunately we do not yet have a lounge in Melbourne. Hopefully that will be coming very soon following our recent launch of direct flights to and from Melbourne, as you had already mentioned."
