Stayed here as part of our trip in my trip report Italy, Montenegro, Serbia and Austria
Close to the Domestic & International airports. We had found a good price during a sale period & then later were able to change for free online when the price dropped further. We thought $152 (plus credit card fee) for a 54 sq metre "luxury" 1 bedroom twin suite was great value. Check-in was very friendly and the lifts are quick. Room 305 faces Coward St and has a nice outlook but things are noisy with the glass sliding doors open. We had a quick walk around before lunch- Sth Sydney Graphics Art Club is a couple of doors away along with a few coffee shops and restaurants as well as St Catherines Greek Orthodox Church. Across the road there is Mascot Oval & Lionel Bowen Park.
Five minutes or so in the opposite direction is Mascot station. Plenty on offer here-Woolies supermarket, IGA, bottle shops and a myriad of small food outlets that thrive on the many apartments now located here. We settled on Renegades for a quick easy lunch-$10 each for schnitzel chips & gravy & fish & chips-cheap food done well, reasonable size, quick & friendly service.
Decided to waddle up the road to the Graphics Art Club for dinner. You have the choice of a dining room with full service or sit anywhere in the club. Had a couple of very enjoyable schooners of Tooheys Old & a very good version of a burger & chips.
We walked from the domestic airport.-good alternatives are bus, train or shuttle. When we left to go to the International Airport it was a very short walk to Mascot station with a lift available to take you to platform level
