Sydney to Dallas, return, worked really well for us, good economy seats. Having two seats in a row, nobody in front, meant we slept really well. Qantas staff were really helpful, providing noise cancelling headphones to block out the nearby crying baby. Very thoughtful. Mexico City and San Miguel de Allende were both fantastic. Happy to provide information to anyone interested. And a week on Regal Princess in the Caribbean with three couples was perfect for relaxing before doing the long haul home in one go ..... Florida to Dallas to Sydney to Alice Springs and work the next day. Our next trip is to Japan at Easter so I will be looking for helpful information about Japan, Osaka and Kyoto area, on this forum. We live to travel.

Glad you had a great time. But I would never do this. That's probably 24+ hours with tight connections and then work the next day!

I always allow a full day home before work. Plan for delays and possible missed connections. If all goes smoothly, then a day to catch up everything. (read: sleep) ;)

Hi Karen

We are thinking of heading to Mexico City as second prize to Lima, which was our original destination from LAX. Earlier planning our trip there appears to be plenty of award seats on this route, now time to book, nothing at all for my low status! So changed our plan to Mexico, but have no idea of the place.

Appreciate if you can give us some info and thoughts about your time there.

Thanks.
