With the drop of the price of fuel plus the consumer's general reluctance to fly MH, they are putting together some pretty exciting fare deals to get people on board.

Found this fare on Skyscanner and ITA Matrix. Hopefully this fare will also pressure other airlines to reduce their price.

For about $20 more it is available on the MH website. I also note that PER-KUL-PER is only about $20 less.

Note this is a MHPromo fare and will not earn miles for any partner program (and very limited or none with MH Enrich)
The fare class that does earn miles (MHsmart) (and SC if using QF) is about $1580 (PER $1280)

But if you want a positioning flight....

Happy wandering

Considering it's less than AirAsia and the low cost carriers I wouldn't expect miles, I'd put the fare difference of $1,000 as reasonable compensation for missing out on a few SC.

Given the possibility of lounge access and business check-in, the MH option does have to be an improvement on AirAsiaX.

Happy wandering

PS I wonder what the possibility of MHupgrade is?
