A second MH flight next year for me. This time afternoon and from SYD. Does anyone know when MH check in opens in Sydney? Their website tells me all about KLIA check in but I can't find anything for other airports.

I'll be connecting to the A380 to CDG, so have check out the best J seats thread. http://www.australianfrequentflyer....ines-enrich/best-j-seats-a380-a330-63853.html Thanks for the contributions there.

Similar to Sydney check in I can't see anything about CDG. Anyone know if there is an arrivals lounge for OWE/MH J?

I'd love an upgrade to F but know that's not going to happen on an award....

From memory I think it was 2.5 hours before departure time in SYD. Don't know about CDG as it was about 1.5 hours when I got to the terminal and of course check-in was already open then.

Re upgrade possibility you can always enquire at the Golden Lounge in KUL.

I'll definitely ask about the paid upgrade option. Ta.
They quoted me MYR5,000 to upgrade from J to F on KUL-CDG. I was however travelling on a paid fare, not award redemption.

Interestingly, I was also advised paid upgrades at the lounge need to be done well in advance of the flight as apparently they re-issue the ticket. If this is true theoretically you would then be earning points and status credits in the new fare bucket.

Interesting. I know the have different upgrade prices depending on day of the week.

Very helpful.

SYD is 3 hours and if I recall correctly same for CDG. Not sure of the lounge options for CDG though

I'm only looking for arrivals lounges at CDG. Leaving Europe from IST, and have lounges sorted there.
