Mini Cooper S Cabrio Hire December 2011 (Melbourne)

Hi all,

I'm trying to book a Mini Cooper S Cabrio for a weekend in December (17-18) through Hertz and I can't seem to get any availability. Is it too early to book the car or is it traditionally difficult to get car like that during that time? I'm also a Hertz #1 5 Star Gold member as well if that helps.

My observation suggests that it is extremely difficult to find availability for any prestige collection or fun collection cars for at least the rest of this year, anywhere in Australia. I'm not sure why, but it's very annoying, especially when Hertz are advertising 50% off until the end of October. Earlier this year, there was limited availability in Melbourne (but availability most other places), with some availability released a week or two before the time. Since then, availability has declined to availability only for a minimum of 4 days in May this year, then a week, to the current situation where there is virtually no availability.

Hi AdMel, I'm trying to rent out of the branch at Melbourne Downtown. I also did a search for Geelong, Weeribee and Footscary as I'm heading out that way, but they don't have any fun collection cars. I had another look and it looks like my other choice is to hire an Audi convertible through Europecar which seems to have availability still. Thanks for the info.
