There are a few doctors on AFF
I only recently found out that you can pay MIPS over the phone (by calling the office not the automated system) with Amex or Diners. Online you can only pay Visa/MC
Hope this helps someone; the sums are not small as you will know

I switched from MIPS to Avant a few years ago as the latter was 1/2 the cost (for my situation). Avant takes all cards :)

MDA national take Amex. I imagine they are one of the the most expensive, but they give a damn good service.

I have been with Avant even when it wasn't Avant ( MDU) It was English company at the time ! I cannot see myself changing to another organisation asyet

Personally AVANT has generally proved to be a better package for me. And as stated they do take AMEX.

Avants travel insurance is pretty cheap too.

I'll have to look at all the options again next year once I get my fellowship. Sigh.

You might not need it once you have travel insurance included in your platinum Credit Card / Debit card or higher from AMEx or other similar card!

Ah but the Avant one covers domestic travel while my CC ones don't. That alone makes it worthwhile for me. Also means I don't have to stress about minimum spends when using points etc.

Amex platinum no spend required and domestic covered.
