You may be aware that the hotels and resorts in the Mirvac Group were acquired by Accor earlier this year. We are pleased to advise that effective from 1 December 2012 over 35 of these hotels are now participating in both of Accor's loyalty programs[SUP]1[/SUP] -
Le Club Accorhotels, Accor's worldwide points based loyalty program and
Accor Advantage Plus, Accor's Asia Pacific subscription program.

In recognition of your past support of these newly acquired hotels and your Platinum level membership in the GHA Discovery program, we are pleased to upgrade your existing
Le Club Accorhotels membership to Silver.

Your new Silver membership will give you access to exclusive benefits, normally achieved only after meeting the required annual status criteria of 10 nights or accumulation of 2,500 points.

We look forward to sending you a confirmation of your upgrade to Silver membership status within the next three weeks. Please note, no action is required on your behalf.

Silver? You must be the only AFF member who's not Platinum with Accor ;)

Or the only member who has earned it through actually staying at Accor properties!

I've had about 80 nights at Accor properties in the past year and I'm actually finding I'm getting exceptional loyalty bonuses from most Accor properties - ESP at those I've stayed multiple times. I'm starting to wonder if they have a ranking in their system to highlight those who are really staying a lot at their properties. I've actually ended up on some hotel VIP lists now apparently (Sofitel So Bangkok, Pullman Legian Nirwana Bali are two) and its making me want to stay more.

Anyone else had similar experiences?
