Hi VFF,

A few months back, I booked a series of flights and it a Velocity team member suggested that I take a J BNE-CNS flight (which I took last Friday) in order to meet the 500 SCs required for Gold.

However, there seems to have been a miscalculation, and I didn't check at the time. Now all my flights have been booked for the next two months, and I'll be bleeding out more SCs than earning. At present, I am sitting on 485 SCs.

I'm sure I am not the first one to have experienced this? Anyway, I was wondering if you had any suggestions as to how I should proceed?

Will

P.S. If any other AFFer have any advice, I'm open to suggestions. Thanks

Burning some points to take advantage of the current promotion that has Reward Seats earning SCs would be my suggestion. If you can tell us where you're based I'm sure we can give you some options.

As above, but seeing as you booked BNE-CNS, will assume you're based in BNE, thus you need a 15SC-earning flight, so CNS/TSV/MEL would meet your requirements to get to 500SC.

Do you have any 'family' that are flying anywhere who could pool a quick 20sc's to you and you could repay the favour after you qualify?

Hi guys, thanks for the responses and advice. I did consider using points but will save them for something bigger. No family/friends taking flights this week, which is when I need the SCs :p

So I ended up forking the 149 for a CNS-BNE last night! Good flight, 68 seats empty probably picking up more pax in Brisbane.

Hoping to get my status gold woohoo! :)
