I paid for upgrade to business 25/11 from yul-dfw. my original ticket was in non-earning of q so I knew I wouldn't get any sc.

No sc have been credited by aa for my business seat. There were only the two classes on this flt.

My flts. I took yest. 2/12 with aa have been credited.

Do I contact AA?

If crediting to QFF then you need to call QFF. If crediting to AAdvantage you need to call AAdvantage.

However in both circumstances you should wait a week or two. In fact with AA you can't lodge a claim before about 2 weeks.

AA's the only OW airline you can't claim off on the website... quite a pain actually...

I ahd to send in a scan of my BP to get the points allocated... give them a ring and they give you an email to send your stuff in to.

I believe the issue is getting the AAdvantage Miles/Points.

Really? he's talking about SC's so I was assuming he's trying to get it for QFF
IThe OP posted "my original ticket was in non-earning of q so I knew I wouldn't get any sc."

On AA flight numbers, the common Deep discount O & Q class booking do not earn on QFF but do on AAdvantage. I believe the OP is tying to credit this flight to AAdvantage.

I am trying to book the paid for business fare (only two cabins) to qf. The original booking was in q class and I know I wouldn't get anything for that. My ticket showed my qfff number and the agent I paid said I would get sc.

Just surprised as the flt. hasn't been credited and yet other flts. after the above flt. have been credited.

If it was an upgrade (even though paid for) wouldn't the original fare class still apply?

Clause 16.1 from the Qantas T&C's (relating to upgrades using points - I couldn't find anything specifically about paid upgrades);

(e) Points and Status Credits will be earned only for the class of service that has been purchased, rather than the upgraded class of travel;

I thought purchasing a higher fare would entitle me to s.c. and the agent seemed to think so also.

As I'm in the states, may give aa a call especially all my other domestic travel has been already posted.

Thanks for the clarification.

It should really depends on the final booking class fare bucket of the Sector you were upgraded on.

Fortunately, AA show this letter on the boarding pass, so check this out. (I/D/J/C for business class)

Aside from that, is there any transaction at all showing on your QFF account for this upgraded flight?

Thanks again Serfty, it does show C class and no, QFF shows nothing. I do have the receipt for the transaction, it doesn't show what class or anything but boarding pass shows C.

Saw on my QFF summary, my hertz rental mid november did get points. Didn't think it would as it was the cut-off when partnership with QF and Hertz finished.

Just as well I didn't know until tonight that trains were cancelled to D.C. until today as I'm off on Amtrak tomorrow, all happening over here.:(
