Recently flew SGP to MEL on an Economy Saver fare. I missed the business class points upgrade but ended up getting premium economy.

I haven’t received any points for the fare nor have I had points deducted for the upgrade.

I filled out a missing points claim which was rejected because it said the flight already appeared on my statement. All that appears is ‘Classic Flight Rewards’ with 0 FF and 0 SC against it.

If I were to call up to get the points added would they realise I haven’t been deducted the points for the upgrade? I’m trying to balance getting 50SCs for the trip against losing 20k FF points (approx 25k for upgrade minus 4k gained for the flight).

Ideally I get the original routing credits without being deducted for my upgrade. Anyone else had a similar experience?

Are the fifty SCs important in this year's scheme of things or life time status ?
Currently I have to say , having recently spent almost every single points lol , the points would be of more value perhaps

Not really. I can get to my status goals without these SCs. Just wondering if I can double dip.

QF run audits, I've had flights post almost 12 months later, with no action on my part (no missing points claim).

I assume you mean SIN (Singapore Changi) . (SGP apparently is an airport in WA).

I believe in this case you should get 40SC and 3900 points (base, more with status).

Those should be claimable. In your email and correspondence, keep it simple. Just state you had an economy ticket (attach original e-ticket) and was upgraded. You didn't receive points and status and that you should earn a certain amount.

The person dealing with missing flight credits is likely not authorised to charge you points for changes for the upgrade.

As for the overall value. generally the conversion is 1100 points for 1SC at best when you take reward flights with PC.

It is still completely possible that you get charged with the upgrade later when they sweep and clear some IT things.
