Here's something I haven't seen before - from my recent PER-SYD-PER trip the Velocity points have been credited for the SYD-PER sector but not the PER-SYD sector. If I try to do a points claim on the website it tells me they have already been credited.

The other weird thing I've just noticed is that when the points credit, they don't correspond exactly to the fare. They're generally pretty close, but from the three trips I've looked at I always seem to get slightly fewer points than expected. Has anyone else noticed this?

Are you including the CC surcharge or additional fees in your calculations? You only get points based on the fare + taxes, not anything else.

LOL DJ salami robbery... joking, seriously....

I'd check notzac's advice. After that, what's 1 or 2 points anyway?

In any case, how long between flight then credit? Maybe it's just one of those "give us a few days" things, and then raise a complaint.

I've noticed it sparodically over the last year or so. Most recently there was 3 days between a CBR-MEL flight crediting and the MEL-CBR flight I took before it crediting.

As anat0l said, it's usually just a 'give us a few days' thing. If it's not there in a week then give them a call.

I also have the same problem as the OP with the points and SC not showing up in my account for the BNE-SYD return flights for my day trip I did to Sydney 2 weeks ago.
I used the online claim form for missing points, and the system responded with the claim that the points were already credited. Before I actually went on the day trip, and up to the current time and date of posting this, my Velocity account is showing balances of 0 points and 0 SC.

Yeah as others have said. It's happened to me that the outbound leg credits after the return - usually a lag of a few days. I have no idea why. From experience if it says "you have already been credited" it generally means that they're in the system.

Give it a week or two if you're not in a hurry to use the points before worrying too much. Probably just a glitch.

I'll wait and see for the missing flight.

The missing points seem more like 50 to 100 points in the examples I've looked at. No big deal, but it all adds up.

I have experienced the same lag time with points being credited. I flew last Tues MEL-SYD return and havent seem them, although they say they have been credited. I also flew yesterday, and they used to be quite quick. New system perhaps, nice to know that I am not the only person experiencing this.

I have the same issue.
MEL-BNE-MEL day trip on the 15th July. MEL-BNE was credited on the 16th July, but no credits for return leg.
I have tried to claim missing points online several times now, and it always says that the claim is "pending" but then nothing else happens.

Hey guys, first post in this community. I've been lurking for a few weeks but this thread has encouraged me to make a post.

I am having the same problem with Velocity at the moment.

I flew SYD-PER return last week. I have been received the points/status for the PER-SYD return leg but am still waiting for the outbound SYD-PER points/status to show up in my account. I will give it another week and then I will make a claim I guess.

Hi DJSYD81, welcome to AFF!
Definitely give it a little time ... if it hasn't shown up after a week or two I'd suggest calling.

I've PM'd Velocity Rewards about this thread asking the Virgin rep to follow and reply here in the thread.

I just gave them a call regarding the flight well over a week ago and she updated it straight away. The friendly operator said there was a glitch at the moment and they are doing it manually.

Hi Steve, please contact our Contact Centre on 131875 and they will make sure to have your points accredited correctly. Apologies for the error.

All sorted now, points have been awarded. This time it is 85 short of what I would have expected based on dollars spent.

DJSY81,

Welcome to AFF.

Have your missing points shown up yet :?:

Hi straitman,

Thanks for the welcome and also from notzac.

My points showed up in my account when I checked this morning so all is sorted now.

The PER-SYD points were credited in 2 days but the SYD-PER took 11 days to show up so all in all not too bad. I would probably have put a claim in if it was over 2 weeks.

Thanks.

Kurt
