I had a flight last Friday, where a Dragonair flight from PVG to HKG was late, meaning that I missed my QF98 connection to BNE.

I was put on the next available flight which was CX103 leaving one hour later, and today the points posted, but as the CX flight and not the QF flight originally booked and paid for.

I remember reading on here recently that it was possible to make an "as booked" claim but can't remember the exact circumstances in which this was possible. So my question is, can I claim the miles for the original expected QF flight seeing as it wasn't my fault that it was late, or am I stuck without the miles status bonus for the CX flight?

Advice please!

Ring QF and put in a request for Original Routing to be credited. Quite often you will get lucky and keep the errored crediting as well as getting the original.

It has happened to me a number of times, delayed flights and cancelled flights, but the rebooked flight has never posted. I have sent a fax to QF of my original itinerary, the new boarding pass and asked for Original Routing Credit and the original flight has been posted each time.

This has happened to me only once but I managed to get the original booked flight points and SC's as well as retaining the earnings of the actual flight taken. I think in my case it was because the original flight was part flown, we had palne troubles and had to divert to a different destination and then we flew home on another flight, albiet smae flight number but got credited two lots of SC's and two lots of points so even though inconvenience was quite happy in the end.
