Hi all,

Wondering if anyone has done this before..
Move from one type of GE Credit card to another internally without new application (most banks call this product transfer) I've done it in the past with NAB from Velocity CC to a low rate visa in one phone without a new application.
eg. GO Mastercard to 28 degrees MC.

I've called GO Mastercard support once before but that was a painful experience and they didn't really know what I was asking about.

I had a similar experience with westpac today trying to switch to the blsck card.

Every bank I know of will let you switch so long as you meet the minimum credit limit.

Call back until you get the answer you want. You are already approved for the credit and just wanting to switch card types. Simple

The problem seems to be each customer care 'dept' seems to only know about the product they support, eg.GO Mastercard seems to only know about GO Mastercard, and when I asked about their other cards they just say we're not sure what they are and we don't have access to the systems of their other cards..

Unlike other banks, the GE cards grew up with different parents, so its likely their systems and resources are a bit like QF and JQ, same same but different.
