I'm travelling on a Malev flight out of Paris (CDG) which I believe uses Terminal 2D. As far as I can see, there is no OneWorld lounge in 2D and although I am flying Business (and WP), OneWorld.com doesn't indicate that MA use a lounge at Paris.

I figured, as WP, I can use one of the other alliance lounges, however the two of them (AA & CX) are in terminal 2A.

Are you able to move between the terminals within terminal 2 at CDG or is it limited to those who are travelling out of the respective terminal? Has anyone travelled MA out of CDG? Any luck using a lounge?

Firstly, a full directory of Oneworld lounges is available online.

In respect of Terminal 2D, there is a Salon l'Espace lounge operated by a 3rd party on behalf of Finnair listed in the directory. This lounge is open from 05:30-last departure.

If you are travelling in Business (J) on a Oneworld carrier, you are able to access the lounge of any member airline even if not flying them. This is entirely separate of your WP (OW Emerald) tier status.

If you do wish to access a Oneworld lounge in another terminal, based on my research this is not possible. There is no airside shuttle or link between terminals, and the bus to move between each is accessed landslide.

Thanks, I did check that. I thought it a little odd that there is no mention of the third party lounge that Malev use. I didn't think the OneWorld rules applied to third party lounges unless you were travelling specifically on the carrier that is utalising them? For instance, in BKK RJ use the TG lounge, however I don't think one would have access if they aren't travelling specifically on RJ. I'd be interested to know if that's possible with the third party lounges as it opens up a whole additional network.

That puts paid to my plans to use the AA/CX options though, so I guess I'll have to hope MA have contracted another lounge in 2D (and for some reason not have noted it on the OneWorld site). I have about 4 hours to kill at CDG...
