I am seeking economy class flights for 2 adults and 1 child for the below itinerary:

Wellington - Brisbane 24/03/2015 (pref direct)
Brisbane - New Delhi - 29/03/2015 (pref via SIN)
New Delhi - Perth - 16/04/2015 (pref via SIN)
Perth - Wellington - 24/04/2015 (pref via MEL)

I currently only have 80,000 QFF points (may have chance to borrow 100k+ points from dad)

Looking for minimal crossovers as have a 3yr old travelling with us.

Am willing to pay $29AUD via PayPal to best price with a reasonable route. (may donate more if you pull some magic as its quite a long ask & I appreciate your time)

So far playing with skyscanner I have found best price to be $1722.83 adult/$1302.83 child excluding the PER-WLG leg which should cost $330 + 75,000 points. (Total cost $5078.49 NZD + 75k QFF pts)
Wellington - Perth - Etihad (via AUH)
Perth - Wellington - Jetstar/Qantas (via MEL) classic award

Not too keen on the Abu Dhabi stopovers, but have not been able to find a cheaper/direct flight.

Can anyone find anything better? I found a deal 2 months ago from Virgin/Singapore airlines that I missed out on and highly regret now.

I've done some searching for you and this is what I came up with:

(Note that, where baggage is not otherwise included, I have added the cost of 20kg baggage for each passenger to the price.)

WLG-BNE on 24/3:
Virgin Australia seems to be the only airline flying Wellington to Brisbane direct. Booking on the Air New Zealand website, you can get this for around NZD830 for 3 people on your date.
But if flying to the Gold Coast (an hour to the south of Brisbane) instead is an option, Jetstar is charging NZD591 for 3 people either one day earlier or later than the 24th.

BNE-SIN on 29/3:
If you'd be prepared to fly from the Gold Coast to Singapore the day before (28/3) then you can fly Scoot for a total of AUD668 for the three of you - and that includes 20kg of baggage each.
Otherwise, if you really want to fly direct and on the 29th, there are Qantas Classic Reward seats. There are plenty of seats available on both the Qantas and Emirates flights. Cost is 90,000 Qantas points + AUD642.59 in taxes.
Obviously the Scoot option is better.

SIN-DEL-SIN outbound 29/3; returning 16/4:
Book this as a round-trip from Singapore on Air India. There are daily direct flights on the 787. The cost is SGD1612.80 in total for all of you. Same price available most days.

SIN-PER on 16/4:
This leg can be booked for SGD604.83 in total for all 3 of you. (Like OOL-SIN it's also a daylight flight and on a 787, which is good.) Similar price available most days.

PER-WLG via MEL on 24/4:
This could be booked with Qantas for AUD470 each ($1410 total) or for 75K QF points + AUD346, as you've found. Using points could be worthwhile in this instance. I notice that there are options which don't involve flying on Jetstar too - that would be preferable.

So, with that in mind (and assuming the Gold Coast is an option in lieu of Brisbane Airport), this is the best I have found:

23 March JQ168 WLG 13:10 - OOL 13:55 - NZD591

28 March TZ5 OOL 09:05 - SIN 15:15 - AUD668 (NZD723)
(Overnight in Singapore required)

29 March AI381 SIN 08:20 - DEL 11:30

15 April AI380 DEL 23:00 - SIN 07:20 - Total cost SGD1582.80 for return booking (NZD1705)

16 April TZ8 SIN 13:10 - PER 18:10 - SGD604.83 (NZD651)

24 April QF648 PER 23:55 - MEL 05:30
25 April QF171 MEL 09:40 - WLG 15:20 - 75,000 QF points + AUD345.29 (NZD374)

I make the total out to be NZD4044 + 75,000 Qantas points. That's a saving of just over $1,000. You'd have to fly from the Gold Coast rather than Brisbane, and leave a day earlier. But this option is also much more direct than going via Abu Dhabi, even though it does require 1 night in Singapore on the way (which isn't necessarily a bad thing!).
