multiple lounge use during a long stopover

I have a J class flight on CX coming up, from Melbourne to Hongkong and then onto Madrid. We arrive in HK around 7AM and would depart around 10PM.

Is it practically feasible to try to use the lounge on arrival to have a shower and breakfast before heading out to HK city and then later come back to the lounge before departure?

I know the multiple lounge entry shouldn't be a problem. It's more whether I would be able to go to the (departure) lounge on arrival in HK smoothly or I will need to deal with entering/exiting customs and/or multiple security gates to get to the departure lounge and then exit customs again to leave the lounge?

Once you enter the departures area (ie. clear transit security rather than go through immigration), you would have to ask to be escorted out. I've heard of people doing it, but would recommend against it. I would just head straight into the city.

Having said that, there are showers available on arrival: Complimentary Shower Facilities, Airport Facilities & Services - Hong Kong International Airport

Note that you don't need a standard return ticket for the airport express - a same day return is the same price as a one way ticket. Either buy a same day return ticket or use an Octopus card which will give you the return trip for free.
