Yawn for Australia and NZ again! .... But for anyone actually going to Tahiti that needs a stay on main island, IC Tahiti is pretty good.

I think we all should bombard Carolyn why ANZ hotels are consistently not in the PB list.

I've got a flexible booking at Intercontinental Tahiti January 1st as it is and I've got 10,000 points in the piggy bank. (Hoping to get upto to ~30,000 after a stay this weekend) think I'll give it a shot!

It is the best hotel on the main island. You will enjoy using the infinity pool and save yourself a bucket load!

Personally I think the HI Express coughet is not a bad reward, stayed there earlier this year and it was a nice new hotel.

$35 a night including free breakfast is hard to pass up, pity I need a paid stay there!

IIRC, the GM is an Aussie bloke and was looking after HI BNE at one stage, I remember posting about it earlier this year.

Now I just need to work out which actual date I need to book the Inter Tahiti.. 1st or 2nd.. bloody date line!

You can see award availability.

I just checked HIX coughet and there does not appear to be any availability through to end of January.

Plenty of availability in November, over Xmas not surprised no rooms.

Thes PBs seem like a great differentiation between IHG and their competitors.

Guess I just have to sit patiently, accrue points and wait to pounce.

I've never done a points break booking before. I can see availability for 40,000 points for the dates I want... does that mean when the sale goes *live* they will revert to 5000 points?
