I may have passed a comment once in the distance past regarding my aversion to flying on a *gulp* scarebus eeeeeeek!380

Now that I am a tough hi viz wearing mining electrical commissioning engineer who can't wait for his first roster to end and head on into the welcoming arms of my fellow hi viz brethren in KTA R-QP then followed by PER QP, I thought it was time to get some practice in for an upcoming flight to HKG on the eeeeeeeek380 at Xmas - the day after the event....

So....

with a need to go to NZ in 12 or so days time, I thought we would experiment on an eeeeeeeeek380 TT. This means my terrified screaming will only be 3.5 hours in the first instant.

As not to wake the unwashed masses of Y & Prick1 PAX (the new P1 meaning so far only applied to one I can think of), we decided a suite would be the go, but after a long debate:

G - hey, we'll fly in a F suite eh?
K - NO

we decided on J. Also due to timing (ETA) and wanting to play cards at Auckland casino, the flight over is on VA.

So, when NSW residents hear the sound of a Stuka Dive Bomber heading into SYD in a couple of weeks time, don't be concerned, it will only be me on an eeeeeeeek380 screaming!

Be brave little Noddy said Big Ears. (extracted from a once banned publication)
Enjoy your ride on the A380! We did the sub 13 hour run from SYD-LAX yesterday and Mrscove enjoyed the Australian speaking crew. You will be fine!

Good luck.

I was sceptical when the A380 was first announced but have now been flying for 2-3 years and it is just like any other aircraft.

Now if Ryanair, Tiger, Jetstar etc ever had an A380 I would be terrified....

*cough cough*

They are a great aeroplane.

Very quiet inside.

But if you are a boeing fan you don't want to be going.

In just 4 days time we will also have our maiden scarebus eeeeeeek!380.
SYD-LAX though.

I have now done 40 flights on the A380 and honestly I would rather board an A380 that any other aircraft. The A380 has proven its self in service and after OQA all have been and are continoulsy scrutinised. They are quiet, comfortable and well equiped.

To the OP relax and enjoy im sure you will have a fantatsic time :D

VH-OGA only has 2 engines though;)

I flew on the Nancy the week before she blew the engine. I took a photo as we embarked at Tullamarine of that very engine. We then had to fly back on an A380 after we learnt of the explosion a day afterwards. We were just glad to fly as others departing LA were stranded due to loss of the large plane. Total chaos at LA airport as a result.

2 year anniversary isn't it?

Just get to the Flounge earlier.....I'm sure this will help;)
