Though a little "off forum", it seems you can earn Myer One bonus points on dollars spent at IHG hotels in Australia. I wasn't aware of this until recently and I'll be interested to know if I am the only one who didn't know about it.
In fact, my curiosity was piqued when I idly read a note on a IHG hotel check in desk. (I am good at reading things upside down particularly that don't belong to me
) Basically, the note mentioned the scheme but also instructed staff not to draw it to guests' attention.
Myer One bonus credits accrue at the rate of $20 per $1000 spent. Not great but not bad either on large purchases at the stores or when paying regular and large hotel bills. The obvious question is whether presenting you Myer One card excludes Priority Club benefits such as points accrual, upgrades or Ambasador benefits. If that is the case it's value would be greatly reduced. Has anyone had any experience or, better still, come across the rules as applied by IHG hotels? In fact there are some other decent travel affiliates such as Air New Zealand.
