Hi Guys
I currently have Westpac Altitude platinum amex card with annual spend $130k, $295 annual fee paid with points but have switched my banking to NAB.
Should I switch to NAB Qantas platinum amex card ($290 annual fee) or stick with Westpac Altitude platinum?
I would like to use my points towards return flights from Sydney to the UK (London or manchester) each year and do not care which airline I fly with. I usually tend to fly emirates, singapore or etihad as there flights always seem to be the cheapest by far when i search. Last time I flew I bought the tickets via the altitude travel service with Etihad. I have a qantas FF membership but never use it as Qantas flights to UK always seem crazy high compared to the others
I don't really understand the ins/outs of working the frequent flyer points schemes
What would be the best option / tactic for me to maximise benefits from my credit card spend? is it ok to buy tickets with the altitude servie or better to convert the altitude points to FF points of an airline, or is there better value to be had from using the altitude points to get goods instead of travel tickets?
is there any way i can get my annual card fee waived at my current level of spending??
thanks in advance for any sage advice
