I'm looking to give the Nadi status run a shot in May sometime. Few questions for those who have done it:

- The ex BNE leg prices at about $765AU, but the ex NAN run comes in at a stupid $465ish when converted from FJD. Is that right? That's doing the NAN-SYD-MEL-BNE (ie: reverse to departure)
- It seems I need to book the outbound and inbound as two seperate tickets. Correct?
- Any dramas booking on the QF NZ site? Doesn't ask me to drop into the local Nadi QF office with my credit card for verification?
- Anybody cop any comments from checkin for the interesting routing!
- Is 360SC the maximum available ex BNE?

Thanks. Looking forward to giving this a go! Unfortunatley, it'll put me well over the requalification for gold - but nowhere near platinum :(

Thought you'd be giving up on the red rat by now? Anyway...

Sounds right. Since I did the run, the ex-AU price has increased but the ex-FJ price has decreased, so it balances out. But the rate is about right.

Yep; won't get good deals or "correct" routing if you try to book a return trip.

I had no such dramas. Booked using the Fiji site, but might not matter in the end.

Nothing here. Got our boarding passes with no problem.

Without double SCs, yes.

Agreed with anat0l, one other part to add is that you need to book your travel 7 days before departure as I could never get it to book a flight ex Fiji within 7 days.

Basically I have, but the golds still worth having for other One World carriers. This will allow me to focus on keeping DJ Gold.

All sounds pretty good. Thanks

All booked, fairly easy.

Ex BNE ticketed basically right away (last night), however still waiting on the ex NAN trip home.

For those that have done it, what's the go with duty free alcohol out of NAN these days? Will they allow me to purchase before boarding (and deliver to the plane) or does our lovely "no liquids" rule come into play?

They give you the good on the walk way just prior to boarding.

how do you book the return leg split over the cities?

the booking from the aussie site was easy but not the return from FJ... I might just do a direct back to Sydney... I only need 240sc... for the bonus 50k points

It should come up as an option on the Fiji QF site when you go NAN to BNE as the selection, why not book it and if you want to stop at SYD ring up later and change the SYD-MEL-BNE J legs to a date in the next status year, it's an allowed stopover and a free 100SCs you are otherwise throwing away.

Markis10...

Thank you for beating some sense into me... why i did not think of this I don't know... Just assumed the tickets would be restrictive...

Thanks...

From memory they are restricted to D availability, which is the only restriction that I am aware of, so easy to change and a great way of spreading the value!

wow... by adding two domestic J flights my total cost came down by 40 FJD...

I don't get it... but love it

Hi gumpy, did you have to pay any service fees for adding these 2 domestic J flights on the phone?

Thanks!
