Hi all,

We have some Business class Classic rewards flights mid this year, flying from Aus to Europe, and then to Singapore on Air France, and then back home.

The Air France tickets were booked by calling Qantas, as the departure country (Croatia) wasn't using a supported currency, so I couldn't select any Croatian Airport as the departure location via the Qantas website.

Anyway, Qantas sorted out the booking with AirFrance and all was good.... well sort of.

A few months later, about a month ago after I had some hassles with another segment of the flight. I noticed that my wife's ticket has an initial on the end of her first name.

She has no middle name on her passport. Only Firstname Lastname.

I have spoken to Air France, and they say that its a QF ticket, so Qantas are able to change it, but Qantas say they aren't able to change it.
After conversations with various Qantas staff, they basically said that the only option is to cancel and book again.
One person from Qantas said that they have updated the API (passenger information), but that will not reflect on the booking and no new ticket can be re-issued. She said that Air France will however be able to see the correct API.

Of course the flights are now 7 months away, and business class availability is gone for the date we need.

So my question to you guys is.... What do you think the chances are that Air France will be OK with this situation.

Looking forward to your replies.

Thanks,
MMM
