Hi All,

I miscalculated my numbers and find that I'm going to be five whole status credits short of maintaining platinum by the 12th of March on my renewal date. Whilst I could possibly squeeze in a MEL-??? status run, I don't really have time between now and then.

I'm not a big FLyBuys person, but do have about 5,000 points...is it possible to convert FlyBuys to Status Credits? Failing that, do I read correctly that if I link my FlyBuys card to Velocity I can earn status credits that way?

Happy to hear any other suggestions on how I can get the additional 5 SC before then if anybody has any ideas?

Cheers,

Flybuys spend with a linked velocity account credits 1 SC for every $100 spent, up to 10 SC per month.

Such spend in February will eventually be credited likely mid to late March but be dated as being earned on 29th February.

So $500 ...

At this point in time I know of no other non flying velocity promotions to earn SC quickly enough to get those 5 SC.

If that won't work - LST is often cheapest from MEL.

Be careful with Flybuys for credits. Sometimes they come through in days but Jan appeared two days ago. Go to LST. Cheaper than Flybuys anyway.
