Catching 'On FF

I am in Florence and need to get to Belfast this weekend, preferably saturday.
I want to get there as cheap as possible. My limits are Im stuck in florence till 5.30PM friday evening.
I planned to take an award flight Sat from Bologna to London(Gatwick) then an easyjet 100Euros flight to Belfast with a 2 hour or so wait in connection. Unfortunately i didn't realise there was a 7 day rule with award flights and even though it is saying there is availability I can't book it.
I am SG, should I call QF?
