New Adelaide Qantas Club & Business Lounge

I was there on Tuesday. The coffee area will be better once the hoardings have gone. That will open up that end of the bar.

Also the cans of beer and soft drink are temporary until the new section opens up. Overheard staff talking about it and they are not happy with the storage and handling that adds.

The bathroom is poorly designed. No hand towel, and the door opens inwards. Actually the fact there is an entrance door in the first place is poor.

I think the food selection has dropped a bit.
You could once rely on the profiteroles, which are no more, and one of my favourites.

One of the good things about the J lounge in Sydney was the make-your-own-carrot-juice station. I say "was" because it seems to have disappeared (not there last Thursday, at any rate). So I don't see much difference between J and QC lounges now, except that the former was relatively uncrowded.

Jaffas seem to be gone from the QC in Melbourne as well, unless I've just been unlucky in my timing.
Still in Qantas Int F SYD. I once asked for the little dishes to take a few and the Qantas staff said take a paper coffee cup and fill it with Jaffas to nibble on your flight, which I did, and have done ever since.

Have they nearly finished the separation of the former QC and J lounge, into the 2 separate lounges yet, esp the QFd ADL J lounge I mean.
My next dep from ADL is not till Apr, but that is with with VA, maybe my next dep with QF is not till Jul.
Ta.

No. Building works ongoing behind high walls cutting space in half. Small cordoned off area for statused members

I saw a couple of me take a shortcut through the plant at the side into the cordoned off area. I don't think they were statused.

Has anyone had any luck using complimentary passes here recently
I very much doubt they will accept them until the works are done. That’s what they advised from the outset. The current lounge is often packed to the gills. Your guest(s) are not missing much, honestly

I'm not impressed either. It's not a pleasant experience nor welcoming. Very few comfortable or welcoming places to sit. The bench seating is so pedestrian with people on the other side or even sitting in the centre. When it is busy it is dificult to get from one end to the other without bumping something or someone! I think they don't like you to linger. Even the current SYD DOM J is more comfortable. For my sins it's that or the concourse.

For someone that never gets to use a lounge even a crowded lounge with free drinks is a treat

Depending on time of day and number of departures occupancy will vary; from my personal experiences (x3) it was not crowded all and there is quite pleasant seating to have a snack and drink further into the lounge near the food area. The staff are very attentive and promptly clear tables quickly and try to keep it clear and tidy.

The old glass half full or half empty depending on the viewer.

I like the new club

The fact it squeezes in 3 sets of people is egalitarian

This too will pass as the new first time ever J lounge & the CL after renovation will alleviate the forced congestion that is temporary
