Just to be clear - there is no special "OWE Allowance" (As in general oneworld Emerald)

As per this thread, BA are providing Qantas Platinum and Gold when travelling on BA metal in Economy fare which includes only one piece of checked baggage with an additional piece allowance.

Finnair goes one better than this. It allows Qantas Platinums, Golds AND Silvers 1 extra piece of baggage at 23kg when travelling in economy class. So 1 x 23kg becomes 2 x 23kg for Silvers and above.

Well due to Resoultion 302 this would be correct. As AY is the most signigicant carrier, it will be AY baggage allowance.

Correct with the IATA resolution but the quote from Meluser above made me look on the AY website and OWE do get a 2nd bag for free, see link

I produced a copy of the BA baggage rules when they tried to charge for an extra bag on a recent LHR/ Nice BA flight. We are both Gold. It took half an hour of phone calls etc to get anyone to accept that we were correct. The check in guy wouldn't accept the authenticity of my printout because it didn't have a date on it!!! I offered to show him on my laptop but was not interested. In the end he said that QF was not going to be in partnership with BA anymore. All in all a very unpleasant experience. Since we do these Europe flights every year either to or from LHR I'm not sure what to do next time so I don't have all the hassle.
