I note the new BNE airport parking is being advertised in media as complete.

This is far from the truth with much construction still ongoing, BUT.......
what is complete, is looking very good. Seems very usable, and for a carpark (what can you do with a carpark??), it's almost attractive (the concourse anyway).

With a rainy Brissie morning today, it was so nice not to trudge through the rain (except of course the escalators which are still getting their roof)!

Lots more space?

Yeah, it's definitely an improvement! My only complaint is that it seems like they're using a fair number of the primo spots on level 3 (the old level 2, with direct access to the crossing to the tunnel) for valet spots, which will annoy me every time I can't get a spot there!

Yes, level 3 had at least 1/2 kept vacant. I'm not sure it's for valet though, why would they put valet parks in the prime position?

I also got lost.....you have to pay the ticket charge on level 3, which I did, then went to level 2....forgetting I was in the old long term park....back up to 3 then across and down. This was after I tried to go down from 3 to 2 in an elevator that only goes up , which followed me taking the earlier up escalators from 3 when I actually wanted to go down (no escalators)..........I felt like I was on the Variety Bash and that was before I even reached the car!

EDIT: Actually, it was level 2 that was half vacant, it was me that was half vacant on level 3!

If using short term, my tip is to follow the signs for Park Valet that take you to a ramp on the outside of the building between Park Long and Park Short, you can then drive straight to level 4, park near the escalators down and you walk straight onto the concourse. Very handy. Eventually there should be a speedy exit from that level too.

The annoying thing in Park Long now is that the ramp on the outside also goes to level 4, but you need to take the lift to level 3 to get across to Park Short and then the terminals.
