How much cash have they got to burn in the meantime? JetGo churned through quite a few routes hoping to find the "solid" ones. Might as well have been looking for a unicorn.it’s a bit of trial and error until they perhaps find some solid routes.
JetGo could not do it with 30-50 seat Embraers. And Bonza wants to do it with an aircraft that the full service airlines configure for 160 seats approx incl J. If all Y it will be more seats.Compass Mk I and Mk 11 for starters
Vegemite 100% and Zooper dooper AOAOTim Tams don’t pass that test!
or VA 1.0 and VA 2.0.(Aus has much looser restriction as long as Bonza doesn't fly overseas, ergo Rex and the initial Singapore owned Tiger)
or VA 1.0 and VA 2.0.
Even VA 1.0 were able to structure themselves in a way that international operations were, on paper, Australian owned.
Maybe waiting for the demise of Rex?Things are very quiet on the Bonza front at the moment.
I see they have stopped all social/marketing as of late April. First aircraft was meant to be here early May during his interviews at the start of the year. Nothing on the Boeing production line at the moment.
With no crews hired or commenced training yet, seems like July isn’t going to happen. Looks more September-December. I remember when Tiger commenced in 2007, it took all hired Cabin Crew and Pilots to Singapore for 4 weeks of famil training, including CASA who went along to assess standards. They did all this in August, then commenced operations November. AOC proving flight does not happen overnight, that’s at least a month in the planning.

Mayday! Mayday! Mayday!I see they have stopped all social/marketing as of late April.
To quote a famous (but probably apocryphal) reply from the Vietnam war... "Shut up and die like a man".Mayday! Mayday! Mayday!
Not much of a dog fight..... The pax loads say it's a cough cat vs lion kinda fight.
Bonza posted an update today on its Facebook page. Apparently their first aircraft is taking a little longer to arrive than first expected.
The delays will be CASA. It was easier for Rex to get 737 approval as they are already familiar with the operation. Tiger in 2007 had a Singapore Operation to show the regulator, I was reading elsewhere that all crews and even CASA spent months in Singapore prior to launch. That will assist with the approval process.I wonder if this is due to recent delays in Boeing delivering new aircraft?
At this stage Bonza is telling people not to expect them to be flying before September.
the only place to book a ticket with the airline will be on the "Fly Bonza" app.
