A new story from AusBT
Qantas: new First Class lounges for Singapore, Hong Kong, Los Angeles LAX - Flights | hotels | frequent flyer | business class - Australian Business Traveller

The 2013 timetable for LAX is governed by the new building at TBIT.

Edit: of course should be "year-end"

SIN FL has improved now that the windows are viewable again.

Given the announcement was August last year, it has taken them a while but its by no means a new story - just a rehash.

If they introduce table service to a similar standard as the SYD and MEL lounges then Cathay might have a challenger on home soil, or at least it could reduce numbers at The Wing/Pier.

Will possibly be flying through SIN close to Christmas so let's hope it's ready by then

Considering QF are handing SIN-SYD to BA, HKG will be a sea of Orange by year's end and LAX will be totally serviced by the revamped (3-class 747s), freeing up the A380s to compete with DJ on SYD-PER, I really don't see the need for the revamped FLounges in these locations.

Here is one of the new signs outside the lounges. The new F/J/+ lounge (the old J one) was packed almost to standing room only last night. Almost unpleasant. :(

Thanks for the post.
interesting the sign appears to suggest "Class of Service" access via the "or a oneworld carrier" statement --- so CX J passengers are allowed into the lounge? -- I thought this access had been removed and you had to use the nominated lounge.
