New Future Flight Credit use-by dates

Not sure if it has been mentioned before but VA has quietly (to me anyway) delayed the use-by dates of FFC to next year as follows:

We are extending the expiry date of Future Flight credits which are due to expire before 30 January 2023. Your credits will be available to make bookings until 31 January 2023, and can be used for travel up to 27 December 2023. If your credit is stored in a Travel Bank, it will be updated individually and we anticipate this will be completed prior to 6 May 2022.

There's no such requirement as the Future Flight Credits are part of the DOCA. Hence the debt was moved across as a "token" liability post administration.
It's a use the credit or lose it scenario.
