Planning another 2 month (solo travel) trip to Europe (Czech republich 2 wks, Turkey 1 month and Greek Islands 2 wks at this stage) this year and stumbled across this forum.

I went for 2 months last year and the travel bug bit me hard.

I'm a compulsive early planner (and more importantly enjoy the planning) so I usually get my trip (in terms of itinerary) right...for last years 2 month trip (mid Aug - mid Oct) I started planning in December 2010.

And for this 2 month trip, yep started planning this month

One thing I am hopeless with though is money and using the most cost effective option...never really bothered me but only now realising how much I got ripped off by CBA. Have already found some invaluable information about this on here in the credit card general discussion forum!

There is much joy in planning. You can't overplan IMHO.

There is also freedom in going with the flow

Yeah sure, where do I post it? Specific forum? I've already planned the itinerary, though I have to admit it keeps changing as I find little niggly things, for example the fact that the cost of a flight from Prague to Istanbul is about 3-4X that of a roughly similar duration flight from Vienna to Istanbul. So I'm now ending my Czech Republic trip in Vienna rather than Prague before flying to Istanbul.
