Welcome to AFF John. Canberra is hoping to get international flights at the end of the year. Fingers crossed.

Thanks...I live an hour or so south of Canberra, but it is easier to get to Sydney Airport, than Canberra without the car...cheers..

Hi John Moodie,

Welcome to AFF.

An interesting comment about the ease of getting to SYD versus CBR. Would you like to explain as it's not something I would have contemplated :?:

Can get to Canberra (downtown) fairly easily, and then Murrays Bus to Sydney Airport in just over 3 hours...
To get to Canberra Airport without a vehicle is Countrylink bus..to Canberra, one per day and then Airport shuttle to Canberra airport....
Not that easy either way....

Yeah, understood. It's going to be three hours more or less either way, but a lot less hassle to get an international flight by using Murrays bus rather than fly from Canberra. And a sight cheaper. Canberra sucks that way, with rail, bus and air terminals widely separated and difficult to get between.

A good place to be, either way, if at all interested in travel.
