What is the points per mile in USD?

As noted above the previous offer was better to get lots of points, this one is for people who need/want fewer points and appreciate the price reduction.

Okay offer, but the recent 100+60 was a little better for context.
That offer was OK bonus points if that's what you need but which offer gives a better return for money spent?

Prev deal cheaper if u max out miles.
last deal was about 2 cents per mile, this one is 2.09. Cents per miles, USD. Taxes included

Are these deals worth buying and having in the bank to use later or buy with a destination and planned trip upcoming???

I wouldn't consider AA miles a good holding asset. Simply because of the ever-present possibility of devaluation. I'll always buy with the intention to spend within the next few months. That's just me.

Unless you have strong mail that the AUD is gonna nose dive (further) in the short to medium term. Then they might actually be a good holding asset.

In addition to Doggy's post; Where do you plan on travelling to? If you are thinking from Australia to USA, then I would forget about it. Premium seats are extremely scarce. There have been several economy sales including the NZ sale that had $800 round trip all up, so buy an economy ticket and use the left over change to buy Powerball lottery tickets, probably a better chance winning the Powerball than getting two J seats to/from USA ;)

Offer expires: 18 Mar 2025

- Enjoy an annual $450 Qantas travel credit
- Don't forget the two complimentary Qantas Club lounge invitations and two visits to the Amex Centurion Lounges in Melbourne and Sydney.

Thanks for the replies. You both pretty much confirmed what I believed. No plans for travel just yet, so pure speculative and wishful thinking

Hoarding points/miles not such a great idea unless you get a bargain such as when AUD/USD were at parity.
