Hi All,

I haven't done the survey yet, but the invitation (not sure if it is going to all) looks like this:

We'd like to hear from you In order to better serve your needs, we are conducting an online survey on the benefits currently offered by airline alliances and some potential new ideas.

The survey will take approximately 5 to 10 minutes to complete.

If you are willing to participate, we would appreciate you completing the online survey by 5pm AEST
25 August 2008.

This research is being undertaken in conjunction with our one world partners and is carried out by an independent market research agency, m1nd-set SA based in Switzerland. The agency does not have access to your personal information. Your feedback is anonymous and will be presented at an aggregate level only.

Thank you for your assistance in helping us improve the Qantas Frequent Flyer program for you.

We value your feedback.

Anyone else get the invitation?

BTW - most of the questions are regarding the availability of award upgrades on QF and other OW airlines, but that may have been skewed by my early (in the survey) responses...

Yup - just completed it.

Seems like they want to find out how bad the recent run of events has been.

My response was that the recent run of events does not concern me at all. My main concern is that QF launch "bright shiny new things" which in reality turn out to be quite disappointing.

Interesting - I just amended my original post - for me, the key area of interest was FF award upgrades and the availability of them on QF and othe OW airlines for QF and OW FFers

This was the key question in my mind (having selected QFF as my main program):

Which of the following oneworld alliance upgrade policies would you prefer?

Policy 1:
  • You can use your miles to get upgrades on all oneworld airlines.
  • Frequent Flyers of other oneworld airlines can do the same on Qantas and have the same priority as you have.
Policy 2:
  • You can use your miles to get upgrades on all oneworld airlines.
  • Frequent Flyers of other oneworld airlines can do the same on Qantas.
  • You get second priority on other oneworld airlines.
  • You get first priority on Qantas.
Policy 3:
  • You cannot use miles to upgrade on other oneworld airlines.
  • Member of other oneworld airlines cannot upgrade on Qantas.

That question wasn't in my survey. Mine was more about attitudes to Qantas.

Interesting, there must be a trigger question early in the survey that determins what the second half looks like. I got the same question aubs got...

I got a different survey to fill out !!

This is a quick survey to understand your current opinion of Qantas. This survey contains only 8 questions, and should only take 5 minutes to complete.

This survey will be available to complete until 10th September 2008.

Thank you very much for your participation. We have already completed the number of interviews we needed for people with similar flying patterns as yours. As we don't want to take any more of your valuable time than strictly necessary, we can conclude this interview. Thank you!

OK then.

I just did the Qantas survey that I received and it did not last long. I answered that I am a member of QFF and Thai ROP and I am WP with QF and standard with ROP and then said all my flying is with Qantas and that was it. A comment appeared saying no need to go any further and to thank me for my time. Did any one else only get that far? I am thinking they are targeting people who might mix their travel a bit??

People who have tried the link posted in the first post and those that have, should try it again.

Once you sellect QF as your program you're then asked to choose their status level. Regardless of your status (I checked using the different level options). After this is when it states that we've already got too much from this . . . look down the page just a little to where the cursor button is. Click on it and watch what happens. Is this a virus?

Perhaps only a mod should try first.

That may be because I have already completed the survey and the link may have been personalised for me - that way if a respondent tries to rig the results by doing the survey multiple times they can discount the subsequent results... but, I cant see anything untoward and no viral behaviour. What exactly do you think is sus - the link to m1nd-set's web site?

No, the survey started fine but once it said my participation wasn't required and I clicked on the 'next' link it seemed to take me to something completely unrelated to the survey. Quite likely a probably with my browser, though, now that I think about it.

Yeah, same as the one I got.

Marketing people normally look for quality answers not quantity answers, this way they can accept the ones they really want for their survey.

I didn't get a survey either; but looking at my Qantas profile today I had ticked no for surveys which would explain it.

Its on the 2nd page of the profile just under the seating preferences.

Was it directed to those on the advisory panel? I am not in that group :)
