I joined a couple of weeks ago and have had a bit of a lurk to get the feel of the place. So now feel ready to jump in and contribute, although with the wealth of knowledge in here I doubt I have any pearls that you don't already know!

Currently, I'm just a lowly Bronze in Qantas FF but was a platinum for a few years when I did a lot of business travel. Sadly, those days are gone and I have used up whatever residual juice from the remnants of my platinum days so not expecting any surprise upgrades anymore :(

Doing a FF trip on 17th May - MEL - LHR and bought the return fare from the UK site rather than from the AU site and saved a bundle...

Hope to make some friends here and will want to learn as many tricks as possible to boost my points back up. Not far off lifetime silver status and while not as good as lifetime gold it's better than a poke in the eye or bronze lol...

Chris

Haha - first post and two spelling errors - great start
