I like it - simple and fresh!

Does this mean we will be getting rebranded cards and tags?

I would say it is the colour of the status affecting the website, its obviously now across the site after log in!

I doubt it. New cards would be a waste of money before the likely name change later this year.

When ringing the KL call centre querying why my new gold card has taken quite a while to arrive, I was told there was a significant delay due to the 'rebranding exercise', and that it should only be another month... A little frustrating but what the hey...

I might add the KL call centre are much better than a certain Manila based call centre ;)

Down for scheduled maintenance at the moment. WIll be interesting to see if there are any changes when it comes back up.

I thought the same thing... hopefully tied in with VA's "Sunday post" here on AFF :)

The same thought did cross my mind. They're good at stringing us along aren't they?

I was just thinking the same too. I'm not going to be the one who sits up all night pressing F5. Anyone else is free to do so and E-Mail me the results on Monday.:p

Even showing down in the booking engine. However after freezing my browser for a moment it did still give me free baggage.

Am I the only one that prefers the old logo? New one is bland and corporate....

...it's a hard one - the new one seems like they are almost playing it too safe - but that old one was horrible. When I see it, it looks like it should be on the chest of a guy wearing a superhero outfit on a late-night ad selling "Simon's Sassy Aerial Services" installing foxtel or something.... *okay - I've thought about this a bit*

I still wonder if the new one is temporary as there was no massive media release (and boy do VA like their media) and with a 'complete relaunch' we all probably assumed it meant a name change among other things.

In line with their new look I think the new logo works - though would be chuffed to see it change in the next few months - mabye same logo but the "Velocity" changes to "Virgin" or something.... and am so looking forward to getting new cards - with hopefully a little Alliance Member logo on there too :)

Little birdie tells me to definitely expect a new name in the last quarter of the year, also I believe that the new name will be similar to the Virgin America Elevate program,ie it will be Virgin Australia something'.
Cheers

I agree that the new logo is a bit bland, however there was no point putting lots of effort into a logo that will (likely) be replaced in 6 months. Same goes with the Blue Holidays name and logo.

I'm hoping they make it obvious. Something like 'Virgin Australia Flying Club'.

I don't know how many times I've had to describe Velocity to people as "Virgin's frequent flyer program". This surely impacts on take-up.

Maybe the velocity site being down has something to do with the air new zealand partnership?
