Westpac has launched a "Lite Card" with a $9 monthly fee ($108 per year) and 0% foreign transaction fee. Has a low interest rate and $1,000 minimum credit limit, but doesn't earn any points.

Interesting. Banks are really adopting this subscription model to lessen the pain of an AF. Between this and Smart Awards, is there any reason this card would be better for anyone who can naturally spend more than 2K?

This card doesn't seem to have any options for the card fee to be waived and no TI?

I can’t see anything about some of the other Mastercard perks eg Flexiroam comp eSIM and discounts nor Flight Delay Pass* available with the free 28° MC.

*although this appears to be broken at the moment.
