I am a fairly new QFF (Bronze / 180SC) and am booked on a Canberra to Kathmandu trip for work (discount economy).

Does this look right?

CBR - SYD QF O class 10SC
SYD - HKG CX L class 30SC
HGK - KTM CX L class 20SC
KTM - HKG CX L class 20SC
HKG - SYD CX L class 30SC
SYD - CBR QF O class 10SC

So on return I should have 300SC total and qualify for Silver QFF?

Welcome to AFF jayhenry!

Looks about right. Easy way to find this out is to use MileageMonkey (available at mileagemonkey.net)

Under 'Oneworld Explorer Validator' enter in your itinerary and tick 'Ignore Errors', then click go:

Scroll down the bottom and you'll see the SC calculations:

so 10+30+20+20+30+10 = 120 as you say:)

That will indeed give you silver on the nose. Then you just need the 250SC's a year to retain it (or of course, on to loftier heights of SG or WP ;)).

Great! Thanks drewbles ..

I'm off to China next month as well so I should get another 120SC then. Shame they didnt book me business as I'd get 480SC and obtain Gold status!

Which bring up a question .. if I use points to upgrade from economy to business, do you get SCs based on your initial booking class or the upgrade class?

Unfortunately only on the class originally booked. :(

Oh, and welcome to AFF!
