Hi All,

Have been lurking here over the past few weeks and have decided to make an introduction.

Not a huge flyer at the moment but have been a QFF member since 2009 but have 0 SC points and very little FF points. My sister currently works for EK so I have been lucky enough to have the benefits of staff travel. I have just recently booked a flight to LAX (MEL>LAX) for me and the wife, which will be down the track in October so am looking to boost my point balance up. I have a Diamond award AMEX CBA card which I have just linked to my FF account, stupidly I should have done this a few years ago while building my house but was a bit ignorant to the whole thing.

During my lurking have come across a wealth of knowledge on the forum which is a bit overwhelming because of the amount detail there is in the FF 'industry'.

We'll also be flying to NY during our trip to America with a possible stop over in San Fran so I'll do some reading into what the best options here are.

Thanks.

Welcome!!

If you are heading to the states, you certainly have a good opportunity for SC and status. Be warned though, status is addictive and evil.

Welcome!
The credit card is a good way not only to earn points but also to make sure points don't expire if you don't fly QF very often.

Yes there are a lot of threads that I have tried to get my head around and see if I can use any of the tips for our travel
