Hi All,
Just started using my FF Visa cards (ANZ Amex plus Visa) and in the welcome brouchure I noted that there are new rules about points from July 1 this year. So my question....
Will I have to use some points (even if it's a just small item from the FF shop) before July 1?
What about after July 1...I need to use them at least once in 18mths?
Thanks.

No, nothing actually happens to your points on July 1 - only the rules relating to inactivity change.

After July 1, points last for 18 months providing there is no activity of any sort on the account. Any activity (and this doesn't mean you have to use points - earning them also counts as activity) resets the clock for another 18 months.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Of course excepting that "family point transfers" has been removed as a form of "activity" for points. But shouldn't be an issue for someone who is earning points via Credit Cards.
