Hi all,

A newbie question for you. Have been a QP member for some time so have been limited to QP lounges. Now just gone Gold I guess I get some OW lounge access.

My question is - what are my options in Singapore. Very used to using the Qantas J lounge there and it is just fine in my opinion (although the Tuna Pizza is a little wrong) but was wondering if there are better options.

BTW - normally fly there Qantas.

Regards and thanks....

Welcome to AFF raidat.

A full list of OW lounges can be found at:
oneworld - Search for a oneworld Lounge

Lounge options for SIN are as follows:
  • British Airways / Qantas Business Class Lounge - Terminal 1, airside, turn left after Immigration, up escalators, open daily 06:30-00:30
  • The Skyview Lounge (CX) - Terminal 1, airside, mezzanine level, close to gate D30, open 24hrs
  • SATS Premier Lounge - erminal 1, airside, west side, Level 3, open 24hrs.

I haven't experienced the CX or SATS lounge, anyone able to chime in?

I haven't used the SATS Premier Lounge before, but even though it is listed as a oneworld lounge, it is merely contracted for JAL passengers (as well as a whole bunch of other airlines, I'm sure). I am not sure therefore if they will allow any oneworld passengers in on other oneworld flights. But you can always try.

The Skyview Lounge is a nice change to the QF/BA lounges, in that it is open air and has a view of the tarmac. Since it is open air, this may mean that the noise from the main concourse level below might be a nuisance, but I don't think it's that bad. I think there is another area which is more closed off (but not open air) if you are desiring a quieter area. A couple of showers, decent serve of food and drink (they have hot food all day, unlike the QF lounges), a bunch of computers and chairs.

The Skyview Lounge is great. It almost always has a superior food offering (in my opinion) than the QF J Lounge, with about five hot dishes, sandwiches, salads and a wide selection of alcoholic beverages. I've not had any problems accessing the lounge on non-JAL itineraries, although the staff usually think you must be lost and are actually looking for the QF Lounge.
