Hi All,
long time lurker, first time poster. Quite a great community you have here
Just want you advice on something. I've been a regular Qantas FF Gold member due to flying to HK a fair bit. This last year i flew a fair bit and was on target to reach Platinum. To attain Platinum you need 1400 status points.
i reached 1320 points on a flight to HK last November , then my points expired and reset ONE day prior to my return flight, which would've put me over the 1400 points. i pleaded with Qantas if they could allocate the points for the return flight to my previous year's allocation so i could attain Platinum, though they are playing hardball and refusing.
Should i push the issue, or am I resigned to sticking with Gold ? I do know of cases where people have fallen short of maintaining a certain Qantas status and Qantas has shown some mercy.
