I tried to call QF yesterday using the number on the back of my WP card. Had to hold on for ages! I have seen a "Plat help desk" or maybe it was called a "premium desk" mentioned on this forum - there was no mention of it on the WP paperwork in my pack. Does this "desk" exist? Is it only for P1?

im surprised. the plat number is usually very fast, maybe there was an unusual volume of calls, but i have never had a problem

The number on the back of the WP should lead you to the Premium Desk, but if there is no one available, you will finish up at the "normal" desk. There have been a few occasions where I have asked if I am speaking to someone on the Premium Desk and asked to be put through if the answer was no. It sounds very pretentious, but when it comes to issues like upgrading ASA's the folk on the regular desk seem to be clueless.

That is my experience too.

It does seem that the best bet to get through to the Platinum Desk is during regular business hours from my experience.
 
I presume it is the 13 number I am supposed to ring? So it is called the "Premium Desk" then? I wonder why they don't mention it on the paperwork
 
IMHO the plat desk/premium desk only operates certain hours then after then it goes to the normal phone number.
 
Oh well it looks like I was unlucky, it was in business hours. Funny they don't mention the Premium desk as a perk on the WP welcome letter. I only knew about it from my lurks on this forum! So thanks all! :)
