Apparently NH is to purchase a minor stake in PR, similar to how NH has an eight or nine per cent stake in VN.

NH is in *A whereas VN is a member of SkyTeam.

PR is not a member of either, or of OneWorld. It's hard to see *A other members agreeing to it joining.

For those who don't know the IATA codes
NH - ANA of Japan
PR - Philippines Airlines
VN - Vietnam Airlines

Apparently NH aka Japan ANA is to purchase a minor stake in PR aka Philippine Airlines, similar to how NH has an eight or nine per cent stake in VN aka Vietnam Airlines.

I've flown on the first two airlines but had to Google all three codes to make sense of the sentence.

Apologies. I use the IATA airline codes in the delays/cancellations threads so I thought they'd be OK in a sentence. Next time I'll type the full names.
