I was debating whether to give it a 90, 91 or 92. The folks I was drinking it with raved about it, so into 91. Then the price tipped it into the 92 - a lot of other cool-climate SVs (Clonakilla, Castagna) will set one back a lot more.
I only opened this because I was looking for something "light" in a red for a mid-afternoon drink - it was either this or a Pinot, and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I'm glad I tried it. I will try to hold off drinking the rest for some time. Whilst JH gives it until 2045, I'm not sure that Serrat has the pedigree to justify keeping it that long (maybe it'll last, but it's a bit of a gamble). Winefront pegs it as 2018 to 2028. Will try to hold off opening any more for a little while.
