Tonight was our last night in Sucre, and our second last night in Bolivia.  As our hotel has a pleasant courtyard we decided to buy some Bolivian wine, make some fresh guacomole with fabulous fresh avocadoes from the market, get some cheese, crusty bread, cured meats etc. and spend the evening chilling out.

Here are the wines:

The wines were all from Tarija.  All were very good. The Magnus Trivarietal needed the most air to blow off what I found to be a medicinal overtone.  The Tannat was smooth and rich, while the Cab Franc was a fairly heavy duty version that could do with more time to soften.  The Magnus  Cab Sauv was very good but not what most Australians would recognise as Cab Sauv.  Smooth and chocolatey rather than rich and fruity.

A great night! :)

Tomorrow night back in La Paz we have a booking at Gustu:

Gustu | Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants 2016

Really looking forward to that and I plan to do the wine pairing.  I shall report ;).
