Hi

I am trying to book a RTW ticket using FF points, but I seem to be getting no flights available between Miami and any New York Area airports after about 6 Jul 2007. I wanted to traven on or around 16 July. Does anyone have any ideas why from the 6th July onwards until the end of July there are no award seats between Miami and New York ?

Thanks,
Lukasz

Have you tried say NY - Washington then Washington - Miami, or similiar combinations

You are right! What is your frequent flyer status?

On Friday 6th July 2007, as a QF Gold, I get 41 combinations MIA-NYC airports flying AA and American Eagle but no more flights available for the next few days. Then I reach the end of the available flight range.

I think frequent flyer seats for partner airlines are released 330 days in advance which would leave us at beginning of July for available seats on AA or any other partner airline.

Would the 6th of July be the cutoff mark for available seats right now?

Its up to each partner airline as to when they load their award seat inventory into the reservation systems. Most aim for 330 days, but that is not guaranteed, and some load then weekly or even monthly rather than daily.

So give it a few weeks and try again, or use a tool like ExpertFlyer to alert you to award availability on the flights you want to take.

If you must book now, just take a date that is available and change it later. Date changes are permitted, subject to availability, providing travel has not commenced.
